Acupuncture, benefits and uses

L'acupuncture Is a therapeutic practice that belongs to traditional Chinese medicine. It is based on the idea that in the human body there are several channels, called meridians, through which the life force Qi flows. If the flow of life force is flowing linearly, the body is healthy; otherwise, if there is an obstruction, then the body will definitely experience some chronic discomfort that will need to be resolved.

Rely on certified acupuncture experts

Using acupuncture, needles will need to be inserted at specific points to make sure that the obstructed meridian is released.

This skin stimulation with needles serves as a remedy for disorders such as:

  • insomnia;
  • acne;
  • psoriasis;
  • depression;
  • stress;
  • infertility;
  • combating addictions (smoking and controlling nervous hunger).

In addition to these benefits, however, there are also contraindications to acupuncture if it is not performed according to parameters and by competent personnel: in Italy, only those with a medical or veterinary degree can perform it.

Needles must be sterile and used in the correct way, without causing tissue perforations.

The session lasts about half an hour, that is, the needles are inserted in a point of the body and left for all this time: some effects then will be immediately perceptible while others will be felt after several sessions (the number of sessions is variable and depends on the severity of the disease, it will be the doctor who will make an idea).

On average it will take about 10 sessions but, as mentioned, the number varies.

The benefits of acupuncture are diverse: the practice proves useful for those taking many medications together or for pregnant women (because this is a time when it is best not to take medications) but also for those with chronic.

In addition, acupuncture, by facilitating the metabolic process is also very useful for those who are dieting or athletes. Finally, benefits are also found by those with anxiety or those with addictions.
